Well, the plane (and Sister) finally touched down on our tarmac at about 1:00 AM.  So we greeted the solstice in the baggage claim area.

At the time the be-damned Delta website claimed the delayed flight was supposed to arrive, it was still on the ground in Boston.  They had to fly (deadhead) a pilot in from Cincinnati...

And her baggage went, as usual, to Vladivostok.

Well, Delta Airlines (herein after to be identified as The Limb of Satan, or TLOS) does not yet admit to knowing where Sister's luggage went.  Much less when it might appear on our doorstep.

At times like this, one could wish for some sapient pearwood.

We, having heard no further from TLOS (The Limb of Satan, AKA Delta Airlines), drove over to the airport and entered the bowels of the beast.  After a period of time, Sister emerged battered but unbowed, with her baggage.  We have no idea of what route it may have followed to that point, or if indeed it had ever been anywhere else.  The clerk told her it had just come in from Boston.

As a minor amusement, I just checked TLOS on-line baggage tracker:
"We're sorry; we have no updates on this bag and are still trying to locate it. Please check back again."
