The dance of the stars

Watched the ISS and shuttle arc across the sky again last night, separate in their stately dance.  I think at least some of the news reports are garbled or misleading, as a quick glance at the news could lead you to believe they hadn't undocked at that time.

Another random thought from the ongoing blog hooraw about racism (which is not a bad thing.) 

"Race" is such a chameleon word -- as little as a hundred years ago, "Irish" was considered to be a race, and a thoroughly inferior one at that. 

Published caricatures of the Irish were as simian as the worst depictions of blacks...

Freeze warning

Yep.  Same borderlands that got the frost advisory last night.  NWS muttering about a hard freeze up in The County.
