Two presumed muskrats out in the bog -- identification based more on habitat than on the fragmentary remains.  Also two warblers -- yellowthroat and myrtle, and a gray squirrel that I probably shouldn't count.  Only mention the birds because identifiable bird roadkill is rare, if you don't count grouse and crows.

Ignored the "air quality alert" and got out for my bike ride early, when the temperature was only 80 F or so.  Hey, Wife knew I was crazy when she married me.  As a general rule, the 15 mph artificial breeze of biking means I don't start serious sweating until I _stop_ riding.  And I held back on the speed, guzzled water at my mid-ride stop, used lower gears on the hills, all that healthy non-heatstroke stuff.

Now I'll spend the rest of the day coughing _your_ ozone and particulates out of my lungs.
