Chickadee non-report

Neither Wife nor I have seen or heard any chickadee activity in the side yard in several days.  I suspect that our round of cold wet windy has done in that nest.  They may try a second nest, but will usually move to a new hole or box for that.

We've had nest failures in past years.  A couple of times I've even found dead chickadees when I go to clean out a nest box in the fall or spring. 

Mother Nature can be a bitch.
