Okay, we have -- simultaneously -- a flood watch and high fire danger warning.  The flood thing is for snowmelt, with small rivers and streams receiving more than they can handle, due to temperatures projected close to 80 F today.  The fire danger "red flag" is for those high temperatures (for us) combined with a dry southwest wind and all the dead grass and brush and leaves under bright sun, and nothing greening up yet.

And we are down to maybe two square feet of thin ice in the whole of our yard, snowblower remnants in the shadow of the house to the south of us.

The chickadees have been excavating deeper and yet deeper in that rowan stub.  We expect the whole thing to collapse.

There's an old Maine joke, this flatlander is up on a "foliage" tour in the fall and asks a Native,

"What do you folks do in the summer around here?"

"Well, if it comes on a weekend, we usually try to have a picnic."

83 F today, forecast for 63 F tomorrow, and 50s later in the week.
