Above zero

After two days of record overnight lows, double digits subzero, we have a sunrise in the plus 20s F. Supposed to go above freezing for several days in a row, now, including chance of rain showers. Or mixed precip, depending on locale...

And speaking of sunrise, the bastards are fucking with the clocks again. I'll be back to waking up in the dark. Look, folks, if the easternmost part of the Eastern Standard Time Zone gets sunrise after 7:00 AM, you are _not_ saving that much on electricity. I remember the western edge, Atlanta and Detroit and such, and sunrises so late you thought you'd moved to the Arctic...

Maybe the computer situation has reached enough stability that I can start using the damned thing instead of fretting about this or that. I _knew_ switching to the Mac was going to be more complicated than "It just works."

Need a solitaire game on it, though.

Took advantage of the unaccustomed warmth (hey, we made it up to 40 F) to get out for a walk. And the . . . material . . . thawing out of the snowbanks made me wonder if anyone has ever tested the spring runoff around here for coliform content.

Scoop the poop, folks.
