Crisp

Ice on the puddles this morning, temperature in the 20s F. I'll probably have to scrape Wife's windshield for her (shoulder problems). Or maybe the sun will take care of such minor details.

Goldfinches have been guzzling the thistle seed again. Greedy little bastards can pull three or four inches of the stuff out of the tube feeder in one day. Amusing aside -- the local Blue Seal Feed store labels the stuff "Nyjer" -- apparently afraid of the more common spelling of that river and region in Africa. Thus doth Political Correctness make cowards of us all.

We made it through the whole of yesterday without a single instance of political phone harassment. I am probably tempting fate by mentioning this...
