Rainy

Supposed to be showers, according to yesterday's forecasts. That seems to translate into rain with occasional injections of showers. Apparently "Beryl" took a track further north than the weather prophets had expected.

Am poking at the architectural project this morning, in the usual attempt to fit ten pounds of . . . substance . . . into a five pound bag. Second and fourth floors seem to work, with two one-bedroom apartments per floor, if you don't mind small kitchens. The third floor, with four "studio" apartments, looks to be a problem.

May attempt more revisions on SIGNATURES this weekend. Including a truncated ending that skips one confrontation with the Black Hats. Nice Agent Lady said that I may have too many crescendos, similar to a classical symphony ending. Don't applaud yet, Brahms ain't finished . . .

Portents?

Wife and I were out walking yesterday evening, saw a mature bald eagle cruising by at treetop levels in the next block.  Does this mean we'll have fewer yappy dogs annoying us?

(Probably not.  Golden eagles would be more interested in small mammals -- bald eagles are more fish-and-carrion specialists.  But we don't have golden eagles around here.)

(Yes, I know, I'm non-PC in wishing ill on the neighbors' pets.  But our only contact with dogs would be the barking, the dogshit on our lawn and sidewalks, and the occasional ravening beast who wants to kill me while I'm out bicycling.  Leads to prejudice, it does.)
