Squirrel alarm clocks

Did not need the Squirrel Scamper on our sunporch roof this morning. At 0530. Complete with scratching at the aluminum combination windows, just in case we missed the rumble of furry feet. Who needs cats, when you can get the same effect without vet bills?

And the Publishing Gods offered us another jest, because they messed up on the DRAGON'S TEETH schedule and sent page proofs when we were actually in town. So now page proofs for the mass-market DRAGON'S EYE are in the mail. This, with a trip to the Undisclosed Location scheduled for next week. Don't know why I need to review DE again, since they use the same typesetting files as for the trade paperback, and I went through those a year ago. However, we will give a look. If any of you dear readers spotted egregious goofs, now would be a good time to quote chapter and verse...

Rain today. Need to get out to the stores, more paper (SIGNATURES manuscript) and color ink cartridge for the multi-function printer after all those day-job photos. Also restock on coffee. May stop off at Borders and mutter incantations of selling over certain books.
