Tuesday roadkill report
Jun. 13th, 2006 12:47 pmOne fresh raccoon by the roadside, out near the bog. I probably ought to do a sample count of beer cans sometime, as they were also likely killed on the road.
Partly cloudy*, warmish (70s F, which _some_ of you will call chilly) and NOT RAINING, so I hauled my aching aging carcass out on the bike again. Anybody got a good knee they can spare for transplant surgery? Mine doesn't get worse, but it DOES NOT GET F***ING BETTER. There, now I feel better, even if my knee doesn't.
The black locust trees are blooming profusely, perfuming the air for what seems like half a mile away. Hawkweed has turned some fields completely yellow. Water again up to the road edge out in the bog, with "Road Flooded" signs deployed to imply that the level is actually going down.
Some nits picked out of SIGNATURES yesterday, Wife is going back through it for continuity and pace.
*Clouds building up now, rearming for a fresh attack.
