I distinctly remember the weather-prophets talking about showers for Sunday. So far, what I see is steady rain. Long odds against a bike ride today. As exercise addicts in the audience will understand, this makes me twitchy.
I am finally working on the SIGNATURES revision, wading through comments from the crit group on the first third of the book and attempting to introduce elements into the early parts that reflect what I now know about the later. Some people don't work like that. They claim to know the whole course of the story before they begin, with outlines and character profiles and all. Boring.
There's also the bit about adding "vivid" to the mix, as I sketched through some things as a way to get to others. Can't remember who, but some Big Name Author said he made a point of checking the later rewrites, making sure that he evoked the readers' senses on every page.
