Breach of contract
May. 27th, 2006 11:07 amWe were supposed to get rain last night, with possible thunderstorms. As far as I can tell, nada.
So I hauled the garden hose out front and wet down the loose hay mulch that The Sewer Project From Hell has finally spread over the disturbed soil, in a vain hope that my efforts will slow the spread of windblown hay all over the neighborhood.
Secondary effect of the garden hose project is to straighten out all the hoops and kinks in the old hose, preparatory to buying a new length and using one of the old ones, cut down to size, as a drain for a dehumidifier now installed in the basement. If the hose won't lie flat, water won't drain, and I'm too lazy to empty a bucket every few days...
Yeah, after thirty years in this place, we've finally decided that the basement is damp. Some people are slow learners.
