Thursday no-roadkill report
Apr. 27th, 2006 02:47 pmOnce again, an ominous absence of fresh roadkill. Although one of those deceased raccoons has now vanished from the roadside, indicating that the foxes and coyotes may be back on the job.
Temperature in the mid-50s F and sunny, with variable winds (mostly in my face, of course.) Not ideal for riding, but this does take me over 200 miles for the season. These numbers are important.
Started the process of killing off *CHARACTER* this morning. Be of good cheer, *CHARACTER* dies valiantly in the line of duty, and gets a formal guard of honor and lots of starched uniforms and bagpipes for the funeral. Bagpipes played _well_, dammit, unlike a couple of military/police funerals I've seen...
