Windy

Rain overnight, not serious amounts but needed, clearing and windy this morning. Wife spent some time muttering over the outliers in statistical probability as regards to the annual Garden Show, where the nature center has a booth to sell nature-center-related stuff -- cash box ran out of nickels. But they _never_ run out of nickels...

Added words to SIGNATURES after yesterday's gap, Fat Wizard thinking that the empty streets and dusty gusty wind have him looking for tumbleweed rolling between the horse-rails and wooden sidewalks, Gary Cooper walking down the main street toward a six-gun duel. No chance -- if his target wanted to kill him, weapon of choice would be a sniper's rifle or a bomb. But it's an atmosphere thing.

I probably should explain these cryptic entries of name and unit and location. These entries recognize men (no women yet, although I'm sure that will come) with Maine ties who have died in the line of duty. They died serving our nation, doing what we told them to do. I don't give a damn about your politics, dear readers. As a _nation_, we placed these soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines in Harm's Way.

I ask you to stop for a moment and think about their sacrifice and honor it. Their names deserve at least this brief mention.
