Weather (again)

Light dusting of snow overnight, maybe as much as 1/4" and now melting. One of the weather twerps gave us some statistics last night. 2004/2005 winter to this point gave us about 75" of snow, 2005/2006 produced 37"... No wonder I've spent so many electrons on bitching about the lack of skiing. And the first white-water canoe race of the spring season has just been postponed. Lack of water in the stream. Nobody seems to be up for a six mile portage.
And in tales of Strange Inspiration, the neighbors have put a collar and tag on Nikita the Cat. So why is Nikita the Cat suddenly stalking the mourning doves under our feeder, when she previously ignored them? This, I remind you, is the cat I've seen lying around under the feeder with her tail practically touching a squirrel ...
Should finish up chapter XIX on SIGNATURES this morning, to be reviewed and printed off tomorrow. I have inflicted pain and sorrow on Fat Wizard. Hey, that's my job description.
