Nuisance snow

Yes, I know I used that title a few days back. Still valid. We have snow in the air and on the ground, but it barely covers the grass (tips still showing through.) Most decidedly not enough for skiing.

Still on the winter topics, was glad to see that at least _one_ skater could keep her butt off the ice last night... I wonder if Japanese and Chinese and Koreans count as "white" for the theory of the "white" Olympics. (Bad racist. Bad, bad, bad.)

Will attempt writing again, after removing the paltry traces of snow from the driveway and Wife's car.

The mass of men ski lives of quiet desperation

Snowfall continued until we had 3-4" on the ground. Since this constitutes a blizzard by recent standards, I shoveled out the driveway, reshoveled the end after the city plow went past, and drove out to the city forest for a short bout of skiing. Wet sticky snow with the gravel and pine-needles coming through, but my first chance in over a month. Did _not_ attempt the full loop, after that long a layoff. Temperatures forecast to dip below zero this weekend, which bodes icy trails.
