The world needs more jesters
Jan. 25th, 2006 10:24 amI was thinking this morning about how I fully expect to turn on the news some day and hear that the center of a major (probably US) city has been slagged by a wandering nuke purchased from the stockpiles of the former Soviet Union and delivered from Osama with love, and then hear the added news that Mecca and Medina now glow in the dark, along with ten or twenty other Islamic cities.
And then I went out and a chickadee hung upside down from a branch a couple of feet away and commented while I refilled the feeder with fresh sunflower seeds. I've had them land on the seed can, or my shoulder, and supervise the process.
We need chickadees. And kittens. Never forget the kittens.
