Nov. 26th, 2005 11:12 amJust finished replacing washers in the bathroom sink faucet. Royal PITA. Problem isn't the washers, per se, but getting TO the washers. As in, first freeing up the screws that hold the handles in place, and then levering the handles off their splined shafts. One of the latter took me half an hour, with WD40 and much mil-spec profanity.
Next time, we call in a plumber* and replace the whole bloody assembly...
*The unit is soldered onto our piping, rather than connected with compression fittings.
