Thursday roadkill report
Oct. 13th, 2005 04:07 pmDifferent muskrat out at the bog, porcupine about a mile toward town from there.
And the water level had risen to the edge of the road out there, boding ill for travel if we get another several inches of rain over the weekend. Glub.
Wife and I took a jaunt out to the city forest this morning, hoping to perambulate the bog boardwalk, but it was closed. "Repairing water damage" sayeth the sign. So we did the autumnal trails and identified mushrooms instead, including some decidedly pornographic specimens.
Looks like I won't be designing a livestock auction hall. The client boggled at the price and complexity of a "barn" -- however, the State Fire Marshall would have considered it a Class B assembly occupancy, seating over 400 people....
Actually added words to PENDRAGON AUTUMN yesterday and today. Maybe I'm a writer, after all.
