Sewer project has reached the next-door neighbors. That means the Cat crawler is beeping and grunting at the end of our driveway, and no rational thought-processes are possible for the duration.
Managed to thread my way out through the carnage this morning, run to the library and back, so I can vanish into a book or so until this, too, shall pass away. Kinky Friedman sounds appropriate to the situation.
One of the hard-hats just came to our door and wanted to know if we needed our driveway available overnight. Also, they'll need to cut off our water supply for an hour or three tomorrow. I told him to let us know ahead of time, so we have a chance to flush....
