Probably not a heat wave

By the official definition, that is. _I_ think it qualifies, but I don't work for the National Weather Service.

But They say that a "heat wave" requires three consecutive days of temperatures over 90 F, and we probably won't reach higher than mid to upper 80s today. Howsomever, 92 F yesterday was higher than the prediction, so hope springs eternal. Or sweat, whatever.

Got in a few hundred words on PENDRAGON AUTUMN this morning, dragging the conflict forward into the limelight. Or witchlight, perhaps, as more fitting to that world....

Finally!

THE WELL OF LOST PLOTS and I managed to meet in the library and elope. That's the only Thursday Next book I haven't snagged yet....

(Nice Librarian Lady saw that in my pile of goodies and asked if I'd read the others. Says there's a new series starting, featuring Jack Sprat and Mistress Mary. Drool.)

Still haven't seen the library's possibly-mythical copy of WINTER OAK. It's always out, which is not a bad thing. A bit of a weird feeling, that, finding something I wrote in a library or bookstore.
