This is supposed to be good for you?

Heading out on a bike ride this morning, with the temperature somewhere around 70F at 7:00 AM and the dew-point similar. Wife points out that exercising is _supposed_ to improve health, and heat-stroke doesn't fit in that definition.

Onwards through the swamp!

In spite of insinuations of insanity uttered by Wife, I did go for my Sunday ride. I did _not_ push for speed or distance. Wasn't really bad, unless you count the added air resistance from all the humidity and bugs....

Major quantities of buttercups, hawkweed, clover, lupines, and vetch blooming -- whole hillsides yellow and purple. Major quantities of yellow dust on the ground -- pine and spruce pollen.

Roadkill du jour seems to be porcupines. The quill pigs keep thinking that cars won't attack them.

(Roadkill reports will rarely mention various types of squirrels -- consider their corpses ubiquitous.)
