Hey, I _warned_ you what would happen when I set up that air-conditioner.
Urban archaeology department: the contractor has the decking torn off the front porch of my apartment renovation/conversion project across the river, that 1850+/- house of ill repute. Two burrows underneath, one woodchuck sized (we've seen Chuck on site) and one that looks an awful lot like a fox den. I would _assume_ they aren't contemporary.
The crew has also found a certain amount of rot after stripping off layers of siding. No extra charge. One reason we wanted to negotiate with a single contractor, rather than put the project out to competitive bid -- this contractor specializes in old buildings, and had figured such little surprises in his price.
No work on PENDRAGON AUTUMN yet today. Dratted day job keeps getting in the way.
