Feb. 1st, 2005 04:25 pmReceived emails from Editor and Agent that manuscripts arrived. Check _that_ off the list, (Me, doubt the reliability of the USPS? Perish the thought!)
Need to clean writing-related cultch off the drafting board so I can draw up a house addition. Index of small-townness involved -- owner of house is the guy who sold me a used farm tractor, about 25 years ago. What goes around comes around.
Started to ease back into GHOST POINT this morning, maybe a couple-hundred words. Brain reset occurs slowly.
Fast track on the afternoon ski outing, did the 4 miles in about 50 minutes. Temperatures around freezing, so we are going to need some more snow if I'm going to keep up this regular exercise thing.
Snow nearly gone from south-facing roof sections, just a few lumps of ice under the drips. "They" are forecasting sun again tomorrow, so I'll probably climb out and shove the remains over the side. Making room for the next load, you know.
Groundhog Day tomorrow. I have no fear that our local 'chuck will see his shadow, whether the sun shines or no -- Field's Pond Fred has tucked himself away in his burrow under a couple of feet of snow, and won't wake up until maybe the end of March. We'll get six more weeks of winter anyway.
