I'm going to go skiing this afternoon. With air temps around 15 F and winds gusting over 20 mph -- windchills below zero F. But we got 3"-4" of snow overnight, and I WANT OUT.

If you don't hear from me in a week or so, send the cadaver dogs out to the City Forest.

Just _barely_ enough snow on top of the ice for skiing, and only two places where water was seeping out from the recent rain and flowing across the trail. I didn't freeze any important parts off -- will leave which parts are important and which not as an exercise for the reader's imagination.

Actually, cross-country skiing is energetic enough that I was sweating once I got past the first mile and stopped to change gloves and shove the jacket in my backpack.

4 miles, one hour.
