Oct. 3rd, 2004 02:37 pmWent upriver and inland today, only about half the trees are turning yet. Looks like it may be one of those years where the early trees shed their leaves before the laggards even change color. Still forecasting a hard freeze Tuesday night, so that may force the issue.
Clear blue sky, waning moon still visible until midday, temps in the 50s F. Too much wind for happy bicycling. No real wildlife report, except for the usual supply of odoriferous skunk carcasses and squashed garter snakes on the pavement.
