Rain (alias "Ivan")

Well, the hurricane remnants have hung together long enough to reach Maine. No wind to speak of, but the "showers" in the forecast seem (on a weather radar display) to reach down to NY or NJ. Foundation excavation is still open, so I anticipate water flowing through the basement. But then, we get that even without foundation work.

Oh, and the check _was_ in the mail. So I can quit watching the Euro exchange rate until the French edition actually comes out, at which time we get another check. Weird, getting paid for a book without any additional work beyond signing my name....
