Slow progress
Sep. 17th, 2004 09:33 pmWell, the cellar wall is now complete and the house is resting on it. Hole in the ground has not yet been filled. Maybe tomorrow?
Front porch has been returned to the semblance of level that is as close as this place ever gets, and new skirting and steps applied.
Eave repair awaits the filling of the hole in the ground, as said section of eave is right above the hole and there remains, thereby, a slight difficulty in the placement of ladders....
And the new rear door is on order. No construction project can be considered legitimate unless some major part has to be ordered and delivered "next week."
The joys of home ownership, especially of the older home, know no bounds.
