Hey, it isn't raining!
Jun. 4th, 2004 08:20 amSome dumb survey rated Maine weather as among the worst in the nation, right up there with Idaho. I reckon Idaho was insulted.
But the sun is shining, and I may be able to get in a bike ride today. Or mow the lawn, whichever comes first.
Spent yesterday afternoon wandering around in the abandoned Stetson (township) Grange Hall, discussing the potential for turning it into offices. One thing about my day job, I sure get to poke into a variety of old buildings. Some of them show up in stories afterward. Seems to be an occupational disease of writers -- I live about two blocks from the old laundry where Stephen King worked back before he sold _Carrie_, setting for a couple of _his_ stories. Place is a hazardous waste site now, perc and asbestos and such, so if he dies of some mysterious ailment, you'll know why.
