Happy Boxing Day

Raining here, significant amounts. The lawn shows bare grass again. Also mini-lakes. At least that stuff goes away on its own, requiring no shoveling. Forecast says that it _will_ turn to snow later, with a possible interregnum of sleet and freezing rain. We hates that, we does. Especially since Sister is due to fly out this afternoon and we do not want anything to interfere...

Meanwhile, Wife has finished boiling down the carcass of yesterday's roast bird. Chicken soup! (Not for lunch today -- that would be a heap of sliced chicken on top of corn-bread stuffing, drenched with gravy and microwaved. The soup stock gets frozen against future need.)

I hope to return to writing shortly. SIGNATURES has gone into remission for the nonce, with another messy corpse pending.

FYI, I'm currently reading the first of the Butcher books, and I'm sure you can do a better job. Flat-out sexism is easier for me to deal with than the kind of guy who goes on and on about how much he likes women, while his actions make it clear that he really doesn't.
