Conflicting rituals

The local fishwrapper had a story today (AP, so your gossip rag may also have presented it) about mixed Christian/Jewish families and the fact that the first night of Hanukkah coincides with Christmas Day this year. And how mixed couples resolve the inevitable conflict between obligatory visits to both sides.

And Wife offered the suggestion that lining up a bunch of Christmas trees and igniting one each evening just wasn't going to work.
