Climactic upheaval

Temperature in the mid 40s F this morning, sun shining, snow vanishing from lawns and driveways. If this trend continues, I may sneak out for a bike ride. Or not.

In an unrelated development, I note that the US and our Iraqi lackeys never learned the most basic rules of the coup -- when you catch the dread despot, you _shoot_ the bastard*. None of this namby-pamby trial bullshit....

*Hanging or other immediate and reliable disposal methods remain viable alternatives. Mounting the head on a spike outside your gate is optional.

Well, it is against our rules and contrary to the spirit of democracy we're trying to infect Iraq with.

On the other hand, I recall how annoyed a Panamanian coworker was when we arrested Noriega instead of shooting him. (While a Columbian and a Chinese ranted about American imperialism.)
