That's the air outside. Rain overnight and this morning, things were getting so dry. Advanced from steam bath to soup. And not a thin soup, either. More like a cream of mushroom made with double-reduced chicken stock -- the mushrooms give the proper aroma of fungus.
Dew points in the mid seventies today, temperatures in the eighties. And the air has that bite of ozone again.
Mother black duck and 5-6 half-grown ducklings in the stream downtown, crows chasing something out at the airport that _might_ have been that cooper's hawk again. I _think_ I have the calibration worked out on the bike computer.
Got pretty much to the end of a chapter in GHOST POINT, Grendel's mother is in deep trouble. We'll see what happens when Beowulf gets back from the coffee shop.

Date: 2004-08-01 06:24 pm (UTC)I purely love this line.
It rained this morning, quite hard, so that was taken care of for the day.
