Just back from an errand that added migratory trash barrels to the road hazards. And saw an oddity -- a red pickup truck with fancy lights and signs, "Certified Escort Vehicle" among them. With New York plates. Now we are brainstorming things that would need highway escort from New York to the wilds of Maine . . .
