Actual physical copies of DRAGON'S EYE and mass-market WINTER OAK have been sighted in the wild. Any reports would be appreciated, as this would enable the intrepid researchers to chart migration patterns and seasonal habitat.

Mass-market WINTER OAK sighted and bought in the Barnes and Noble of League City, Texas (just south of Houston metro area), as of last week.

It was good; I enjoyed the Pendragon twist, although there seemed a few logical gaps - or perhaps author-intended ones.

I only wish triology/multiple book series weren't being demanded by publishers these days - I prefer one HUGE book to three small ones, but I understand they don't sell as well that way.

Logical gaps? I never do logical gaps. I admit to occasional handwaving and use of magic wands. And pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

For the truly curious:

I use this to figure out which Borders stores have unpacked new books:
http://www.bordersstores.com/index.jsp

This is the result for the six closest Borders stores to me (I'm in Aurora, IL)
Store Availability
Naperville Yes
Geneva Yes
Bolingbrook Order
St. Charles Order
Wheaton Order
Oak Brook Yes

(Order in this case almost certainly just means they haven't unpacked it yet. What this means to me is that although I'm going right by the Wheaton store, I'll stop at the Naperville store to pick up the book.)

I use the same "search inventory" function to track the appearance of Important Books (namely the ones with my name on them.) But seeing the actual physical objects carries more weight.:-)

And I don't recognize the other towns, this being a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, but Naperville raised an echo -- when I was a wee tyke, we lived in Clarendon Hills.

My copy of mass-market Winter Oak is waiting for me to pick it up at the local bookstore (in Helsinki, Finland).

I can be a little dense on occasion and hadn't quite caught on that you are in Finland. And your "user info" thingie mentions activity in SF groups and such. Do you, by remote chance, know Minna Kangasluoma? She's in Finland, I believe the Helsinki area, and is a member of our email critique group. (Yeah, I know we're talking a whole country here, millions of people, but SF can be a small club.)

I'm sorry, but I don't know her.

That would have been an extreme coincidence. I only asked because I have seen "million-to-one chances" happen, like the time my wife and I were walking along the shore nearby and encountered one of her friends from college -- a college over a thousand miles from where we live.
