Not unlike napalm, without the added combustibles of thatch and jungle and flesh.

Pavement happens. This _should_ make our street more hospitable over the next indefinite interval, even though we'll only get the base course this year. "They" want the roadbed to consolidate over the winter before finish work next spring.

And, in an item of some note, there is no actual rain occurring at this precise instant in this precise location. Subject to change without notice, particularly once the remnants of Wilma get done with Florida and scoot up the east coast. Barnstead take note -- Halifax appears to reside firmly in the storm's cross-hairs.

Wilma is about off the state now. Here, in the center of Florida, conditions are rain and wind. Not a particularly heavy rain and not any major gusts. I would guess, considering how cold the water is, it can only lose strength as it goes up to you. It's a 2 at this moment, but it's only a nuisance here.

Glad to hear you survived. I see news items that south-er areas took damage, how severe we don't know yet. We're expecting 2"-4" of rain out of the combined remnants of Wilma, Alpha, and another low wandering in from the Great Lakes.

We do not need more rain.

And in a bit of LJ weird, I notice that your icon changes even on older posts, when you change it for later ones.
