One fresh porcupine out on the road through the bog.

Warmed up enough (low 50s F*) that I took the GPS unit out for a ride. It seemed to do a decent job, logging 15.2 miles against the bike odometer's 15.31 -- and the total GPS log turned 15.3 when I brought it inside, so it had probably registered within a couple of hundredths of the One True Mileage. The Maple Street Anomaly strikes again, though, with a different vector for the block headed out and headed back. Maybe we should check for black monoliths buried in the back yard.

Yeah, it's getting cold here too. 80s during the day and 60s at night. I may have to break down and wear pants and the occasional cardigan soon.

Sounds like your lows remain higher than our daytime highs -- noon news gave our official temp at 51 F, and that's _after_ the bike ride.

Hats and bike helmets don't go together all that well. I do get into hats and ski-bands over the ears when I change to snow mode.
