No work on the sewer project today. They're plotting something, I know they are. Probably gonna be drums in the night. Then...

Tomorrow's weather forecast is iffy, so I snuck the bike ride in today. No wind, cool, bright, fall color starting to make a show instead of just scattered leaves. If they'd just _finish_ that damned road project on US 2 so I could pedal through instead of waiting in traffic for the flagger to flag us on, I could have gotten a decent time.

Don't know about that calamari -- squid yes, sewer no. Coliform bacteria.

I'll have to check the bunker, inventory the supply of Willy Pete. If it works on slugs, should be dandy for frying up some tentacles.

At least you can get out. Everytime I try to get in a bike ride, it rains. Guess what it's doing right now? Go on, guess. Did you say, "rain?" Yes? YOU'RE RIGHT!

Hey, another few weeks and I park the bike for the winter. You get to ride on. (No, I do NOT ride in freezing weather. Not quite obsessive-compulsive enough.)

Then wait two months for enough snow.

Cross-country skiing. The university just up the road provides a system of groomed trails, and I also do a loop in the city forest that gets enough traffic that it comes up as good as groomed. Except for the dog residue, that is....
