Fog and such again today. The hay farmers are going batty, trying to line up two or three good drying days in a row. That seems to be against the will of the weather gods this year. The forecast PTBs are offering the chance of some cool, clean, dry Canadian air over the weekend. We'll see.
By the way, all you polluters upwind can shut down your damned coal-fired power plants and switch off your cars. Ozone alert time here in the pristine Great North Woods, AKA the Tailpipe of America. Come to Maine Vacationland and breathe your own stale exhaust.
Bought a new cycle computer today, so now you'll only have to listen to my bitching about the installation and getting used to the new control structure.

Installed
Date: 2004-07-23 10:17 am (UTC)The new gizmo is going to take some getting used to. For one thing, the "Ride Time" feature doesn't have a start/stop button. It activates on wheel motion, just like the speedometer and odometer. So my timings for common routes are out the window -- the old elapsed times include water stops and time spent gawping at hawks or deer.
If anybody cares, the thing is a Sigma BC 800. More features than I need, but one _good_ thing is the capability to preset "Total Miles" so that the odometer looks much less forlorn.
