Airports also suck.

The F concourse of the Philadelphia airport provides insufficient and extremely uncomfortable seating for stranded passengers. Also no electrical outlets for recharging batteries -- saw several forlorn travelers wandering with cords bereft, searching, searching, searching for a place to connect them.

I shall post more gripes as they become available. I'm sure you all are thrilled by the prospect.

Much empathy for your air travel misadventures. I remember when flying was an adventure; now it's about as much fun as a bad Greyhound bus trip.

Not that it's much comfort to you at the moment, but some airports do seem to be making an effort to improve the recharging situtation, at least. In Atlanta the other day I saw a table with charging points and stools, and it looked as though they were working on something similar in Denver a couple of months ago, down at the far end of Concourse C.

I remember charging my laptop battery in the Atlanta airport, some years ago. Yes, some jurisdictions seem to have entered the 21st century. Hell, even our Podunk "International Airport" (capabilities gratis from a former SAC base) provides power and internet connection to the vagabond computer. Thus my finding the Philadelphia facilities lacking in brotherly love....

Hate Philadelphia airport...but mostly because I usually need to be on the other end of it in five minutes or less. Detriot's new terminal with the tram train is quite nice. Pittsburgh, of course, has a very nice terminal as far as people movers, food, layout...but it lacks power for laptops.

I have done the dash from one end to the other. One time, I did it twice, having found the regional connection I'd been supposed to take cancelled, and my ticket transferred to another flight north'ard -- on the same plane I had just departed....

And from thence to a bus, for my final destination. As noted before, we hates airlines, we hates them forever.
