Clouds are building up again, ominous music, the whole nine yards. Looks like thunderstorms on the way. I got the lawn mowed in the interval. Very humid, so I ended up with a soaked tee shirt even though the temp is only in the 70s.

Wrote a few hundred words this morning, got Grendel's Mom out of the lair where she has been healing from a gunshot wound....

Well, the ominous music was a false alarm. Locally. Wife had rain and rumbles at the nature center, six miles away as the goldfinch flies, while nary a drop on the home front. That's what the weather guys mean by "scattered showers."
