Raindrizzlefog. Then we get variation -- fogdrizzlerain. With occasional bouts of drizzlerainfog. Mid July and temperatures in the 60s -- I told ya that installing that air conditioner would work.

Speaking of work, I got in a few hundred words on GHOST POINT this morning. But I'm still in Chapter 4, not marching smartly along by any means. Currently in the downside of a mild bipolar swing, and don't feel like doing much more than playing computer games and riding the bike. Which could be a problem, with some revisions and elevation views needed on that downtown project and a big meeting on the group home renovation tomorrow.

Well, at least I don't have a deadline for the writing.

AHA! Now we know who to blame - excuse me, but like the peppermints, your magic is curiously strong. Could you scrunch it up a bit?

Fair enough - you can have my share too, if you like?

Yes! please! :-)

I hate NC summers. It's just way too hot and muggy.

I'm sorry to hear that - we plan to be passing through in about three weeks. What's to see in NC?

Which part of NC? It isn't called variety vacation land for nothing.

There's the Coastal Plain with the Lost Colony production (it's gotten frightfully expensive from what I've heard), Cape Hattaras, New Bern with Tryon Palace, Kitty Hawk with the Wright Brothers stuff and the aquarium at Wilmington.

The Piedmont has the state capital, a great farmer's market, the Chapel Hill planetarium, some good used bookstores, and the State Fair grounds.

The mountains have Charlotte with Discovery Place a truly excellent kid's science museum, Biltmore Estate, the Cherokee tribe, and the Highland Games.

We're in Greenville (not Greensboro) and we might even still be there in 3 weeks. Want to get together? I think you've got my e-mail address. If not just comment in a friend's locked post and I'll get in touch.

It all sounds good to me - but there has been Much Discussion over the weekend, and we are now headed for New Orleans.I'd love to get together, but it's not going to happen this time around, I'm afraid.

Heck, if I'd have known you had the franchise on that I'd have had you install an air conditioner for me, too. Funny thing is that we bought a new fan for the bedroom early this spring, to get prepared for the summer, while waiting for an overdue check that was going to help buy an air conditioner... Now the season is so far gone I doubt we'll buy one (looking at the weather forecast doesn't show me 90s anytime soon, thankfully...

I doubt if you want to pay my hourly rate....

You'd also need to have a good range of scrap lumber available -- I had to shim this one about five ways to fit the oddball windows in our house.
