"Foliage" remains spotty, with clusters of red and orange and yellow in a sea of green. Some of the ash trees are green, some bare already. It was ever so.

Asters in full cry, the showy purple versions rampant. Looks like a good summer fed them well.

Roadkill limited to gray squirrels.

Still or again damp, air temperature 56 F and spotty mist, but I got out on the bike, across town to the airport. We draw near the end times for such things. Did not die.

Have not seen any color change at all. Not even sumac. This time ten years ago a friend was married in a church with a yard full of maples, and she based her wedding colors on the leaves turning on time, and they did.
Here the emerald ash borer is doing well; ash trees not so much.
