Sunday minor mystery report

Biking out near the airport, I was flagged down by a man asking directions. Not an easy answer, because he wanted a road that was cut in half by the runway, so I needed to know which half he wanted. The road I was on connected both halves. But that wasn't the mystery. He had a dog wearing a guide dog harness, but he was leading it on a leash and not using the harness . . . lots of possible stories.
Anyway. Lime trees blooming, bellflowers, maybe goldenrod, damned purple loosestrife. Lots of day lilies and daisies. Roadkill limited to a couple of flat gray squirrels.
Got out on the bike, did not die.
