Pink vetch blooming, maybe crown vetch, as well as the purple. Scentless chamomile added to the daisy crew. Yellow water lilies. Usual suspects such as bedstraw, buttercups, and hawkweed.
Couple of snowshoe hare corpses, one porcupine reduced to a pile of quills, one squashed chipmunk. On the plus side, one osprey nest showed obvious spring renovations.
Rode upriver, took a break at my eagle-watching spot but no eagles, then down the other side and took on some hills. Did not die.
