Sun?

Foggy morning, but we now have actual physically-verifiable sun out there. The side-yard maple tree exploded yesterday, newly-unfurled leaves all over the place, the neighbor's house is vanishing even as I type these words. Also various flowering trees went 'foom' into full display mode.

But "They" are talking about 1"-3" of rain for Sunday. And another major storm for maybe Tuesday. Why don't we just move to Vancouver or Seattle and be done with it?

I do appreciate you sending some of that rain our way - we're actually getting a nice, gentle, steady rain this morning.

Of course, I also watered some plantings last night, and I'm sure that also helped convince some clouds to wring themselves out overhead.

Because Vancouver and Seattle aren't in New England. What more reason do you need? You live in the second most beatiful region in the world.

Oh, and it's been sunny down here most of the day, but still cool. Perfect walking weather - except I had to work.

(Rain again this afternoon. At least the weather gods gifted us with a double rainbow afterward. I suspect we are going to have a mosquito problem this summer.)

The first is wherever a visitor happens to call home. But talk to tourists, visitors, exchange students. I can't count the times I've heard New England described as the most beautiful place "except for this place back home."
