"Red Flag" warning from the National Weather Service, high fire danger for most of Maine and New Hampshire.  Dry conditions, warm, gusty winds.

I was driving through the White Mountains National Forest today. Smokey the Bear was warning of "Very High" fire danger; at the same time, there's still snow on the ground at the higher elevations, and ice along the banks of the East Branch of the Pemigewasset.

Kancamagus Highway?

We hiked up one side of the Pemigewasset and down the other, manymany years ago. We will not define "manymany" in public.
