jhetleyReceived the Nebula Awards preliminary ballot in today's mail, being as I am a card-carrying* member of the SFWA. Glanced over it, and realized I haven't read a single item on the ballot. In a few cases on the novel list, I had the book in hand and lost interest after the first few pages. In other cases, the book never showed up in our library, the source of most of my reading. And I don't subscribe to magazines, to read the shorter-length entries.
Guess I won't bother to vote this year.
Wouldn't be the first time that a novel won, that didn't interest me enough to finish reading.
*Damned if I know why I put that in my wallet . . .
