This is one of those things I knew about but try not to think of. Seeing the 100-mile zone expressed as a map kind of slams it home, doesn't it?

ETA: and on second glance, it occurs to me that the map could also serve as a handy delineator of Ms. Palin's Real/Unreal Americas. I guess those of us out here in the Unreal America fringes don't deserve to be protected by the constitution.

I didnt completely know there were new rules asserting this sort of thing.

But I sort of already figured as much with signing statements, free speech zones, the PATRIOT ACT (1 and 2), sneak and peek searches, wiretapping, habeas corpus and so on...

The question is, will a new administration actually roll any of this back? Or is it gone for good?
