Tuesday roadkill report

jhetleyOne fat old raccoon on the road shoulder, out near the cemetery. Br'er Coon, he look like he jus' sleepin', but he dead.
Still gray, temperature 54 F, but I needed to get out there and use some muscles. More trees have turned, with some of the ash and swamp maples already dropping leaves -- I'd guess 30% "color" at this point, but variable.
No geese this time. We've seen monarch butterflies flapping from aster clump to aster clump, always trending south and west. Get a move on, little bugs . . .
